Obituary for Arthur L Shrout
Arthur L. Shrout, 65, of Eastlake, passed away July 17, 2020, at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights.
Born Dec. 3, 1954, in Charleston, W.Va., he had been a resident of Eastlake for 20 years.
Arthur was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, and was very interested and active in the Native American culture. His grandchildren were his life.
He was the beloved husband of 40 years to Dorothy M. (nee Heck) Strout; loving father of Joshua L. (Barb) Shrout, Annie M. (Asa) Benjamin and Douglas A. (Alexia) Shrout; cherished grandfather of Jonathon, Jennifer, Grayson, Courtney, Connor, Gage, Austin, Hunter, Issac, Skylar, Donovan and Teagen; brother of Terri (Jim) Sabo; and uncle of nieces and nephews. He also leaves his dog, Rebel, who he lovingly called “Push Faced.”
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur L. Sr. and Barbara (nee Lucas) Shrout; and brother, Wayne (Rose, dec.) Shrout.
