Obituary for Charles Dennis Bentley

Charles Dennis Bentley, 65, of Mentor, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Township.
Born April 17, 1955, in Welch, W.Va., he had been a Lake County resident for 59 years, living the majority of that time in Mentor.
Charles loved all Cleveland sports and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He was also an avid card player, loved his grandchildren, and enjoyed life.
He was the loving father of Charles Vernon (Lee) Bentley, Vivien Leigh (Robert) Garris and Chloe A. (Andrew) Graham; cherished grandfather of Ava, Robby, Carson, Brodie, Benson and Connor; son of Bonnie J. (nee May) Bentley; and brother of Gary L. (Shirley) Bentley, Jack R. (Connie) Bentley, Bill (Patty) Bentley, Rick Bentley, Randy A. (Maryann) Bentley, Scott P. (Brenda) Bentley, Robert S. Bentley, and Theresa M. (Doug) Anderson. He also leaves many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Charles was preceded in death by his father, Charles I. Bentley.
Graveside services with military honors will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, at Mentor Cemetery, 6881 Hopkins Road, Mentor (Section 36; Lot 65). Father Eric Garris will officiate.
Donations in his name may be made in care of the family.
