Obituary for Charles E Jesberger

Charles E. Jesberger, 86, of Mentor, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020, at the Ohio Veteran’s Home in Sandusky.
Born Jan. 9, 1934, in Cleveland, he had lived in South Euclid for 47 years before moving to Lake County two years ago.
Charles was a U.S. Navy veteran and member of the American Legion Post in Euclid. He liked to bowl and enjoyed country music.
He was the beloved husband of 63 years to Arlene (nee Dunksy) Jesberger; loving father of Alan L. (Sue) Bush, Mark E. Jesberger (Debbie Martin), Kim (Pat) Bruckman, Kelly (Perry) Mastrocola and Patrick (Jennifer) Jesberger; cherished grandfather of Brian (Candace) Bush, Lt. Col. Kyle Bush, USMC (Angela), Dannielle Embry, Jaclyn (Nathan) Conrad, Joseph Jesberger (fianceé, Ashley), Nicholas (Brittney) Wise, Vincent Mastrocola, Gabriel Mastrocola, Kayla Jesberger and Kristen Jesberger; and great-grandfather of Hailey Bush, Jack Bush, Robert Bush, John Bush, Karter Embry, Ryan Lewis, Jackson Conrad, Adrian Sgro, Reece Sgro, Olivia Jesberger, Noah Wise and Callum Wise.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony G. and Helen (nee Fox) Jesberger; siblings, Judy (Bill, dec.) Bachmann and John Jesberger; stepmother, Kathryn Jesberger; daughter-in-law, Joan (nee Ward) Bush; son-in-law, Timothy Wise; and grandson, Daniel Wise.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby, where a funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday. Burial will follow in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township.
