Obituary for Clara L Drum

Clara L. (nee Clark) Drum, 90, of Mentor, passed away Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020, at TriPoint Medical Center in Concord Township with her family at her side.
Born Nov. 27, 1929, in Cleveland, she had lived in Rome and Collinwood before moving to Lake County, living in Eastlake before moving to Mentor.
Clara loved to read, enjoyed crossword puzzles, collected elephants and spending quality time with her grandchildren and many adopted grandchildren. She also loved playing cards with her husband, sitting outside her house at the picnic table, and playing solitaire. Clara was very proud that she had perfect attendance attending school from 1-12 grade…WOW!
She was the loving mother of W. Carl (Patti) Drum Jr., Rosemary L. (Jeff) Johnson, and John C. Drum; cherished grandmother of Mario Drum, Angela (Billy Sr.) Hedrick, Nathaniel Johnson, Stefanie Johnson and Karey Drum; great-grandmother of James, Antabella, Billy Jr., Amylia, Ashley and Aubree; and aunt of nieces and nephews.
Clara was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Walter C. Drum Sr. in 1989; son, Edward R. Drum; parents, Fayette and Clara (nee Morris) Clark; and siblings, Fayette Clark Jr. and Rosemary Clark.
Family will receive friends from 12 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), in Mentor, where a Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Fr. James Riley will be the celebrant. Burial will be private.
