Obituary for Denise E Kapel
Denise E. (nee Stumpf) Kapel, 73, of Fairport Harbor, passed away Monday, July 27, 2020, at her residence.
Born May 1, 1947, in Pittsburgh, Pa., she had been a longtime Lake County resident.
Denise loved the Steelers, enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, and worked at Dave’s Supermarket for more than 30 years.
She was the loving mother of Shannon M. (Walter) Hinton of Willowick; cherished grandmother of Miranda (Randy Wente) McCallion, Bailey (Mike) Platko and Spencer Hinton; great-grandmother of Lucas and Bryce Wente and Hudson Platko; and sister of Beverly (Timothy) Sams, Jeffrey (June) Stumpf and George (Lorette) Stumpf.
Denise was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Sr. and Helen (nee Dross) Stumpf; and siblings, Charlotte Davis and Joseph Stumpf Jr.
Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor, with a prayer service to be held at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be private.
