Funeral Mass for Joseph Tran, 81, of Mentor, will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 8560 Mentor Ave., Mentor. The Rev. Thomas G. Elsasser and Fr. Hilary Khanh Hai Nguyen will officiate.
Mr. Tran passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2020, at Metro Health Medical Center in Cleveland.
Born Aug. 2, 1938, in Vietnam, he had lived in Lake County for the past 15 years.
He was the beloved husband of Tri Vo; loving father of Danh Dac Tran (husband, Thiet Dang), Thang Tran (wife, Nga Ha), Mindy Dung Tran (husband, Binh Nguyen), Duyen Tran (husband, Cuong Le), Phuong Tran (husband, Anthony Nguyen), Hanh Tran, and Nhan Tran ( wife, Chau Tram); cherished grandfather of Kim Dang (husband, Can Van Nguyen, Thien Dang, Andrew Tran, Kenny Tran, Nicole Nguyen (husband, Phillip Huu Phan), Binh Nguyen, Darlina Le, Jonathan Nguyen, Daniel Nguyen, Jordan Nguyen, Natalie Nguyen, Ethan Nguyen, Braiden Tran, and Nathaniel Tran; and great-grandfather of Mason Vince Phan.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), in Mentor. Burial will be in Mentor Cemetery.
