Obituary for Mary Lou Aveni

Funeral Prayers for Mary Lou (nee Burke) Aveni, 76, of Willoughby, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2020, at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 9114 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor. Deacon John Burke will officiate.
Mary passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at Lake Health West Medical Center in Willoughby.
Born April 8, 1944, in Cleveland, she had lived in Naples, Fla., before moving to Willoughby one year ago.
Mary loved the arts and was very crafty. She enjoyed painting, knitting and crocheting.
She was the loving companion of Carl D. Einspahr; beloved mother of Barbara Jean (Tom) Cox and Glenn Edward (Julie) Mason; cherished grandmother of Jennifer Ostroviak, Joshua Mason, Kayla Cunningham, and Kristen Schmucker; great-grandmother of eight; sister of John Burke Jr.; and aunt of John Patrick Burke, Timothy Andrew (Tricia) Burke, Janet Louise Burke and Thomas Aaron Burke.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, John Sr. and Louise (nee Ceyfried) Burke; sister-in-law, Patricia J. Burke; and niece, Kathleen Rose Burke.
Family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the church. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Rock Creek.
