Obituary for William J Dutine Jr.
William J. Dutine Jr., 68, of Newbury, passed away Sunday, Aug. 9, 2020, at the Louis Stokes Cleveland Veteran’s Hospital.
Born Sept. 10, 1951, in Brooklyn, N.Y., he had been a resident of Geauga County for 28 years.
William was a U.S. Army veteran and member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was also a member of AA, attending meetings at Northcoast. William enjoyed crafts, working with wood, motorcycles and antique cars.
Mr. Dutine was a former employee of Conrail railroad, where he had worked as a welder in the Collinwood yard.
He was the loving father of Stephanie Dutine; and cherished grandfather of Jennifer Piter.
William was preceded in death by his parents, William J. Sr. and Violet (nee Sigrund) Dutine; and sister, Stephanie L. Dutine.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby, with Military Honors to take place at 6:30 p.m.
