Grandpa, my hero, my idol, the best man in the world. So kind, so smart, and selfless. God chose you to bless me with as a grandfather. I don’t know where I’d be without you. You always believed in me, taught me to never give up, listened to me and gave the best advice, taught me that hard work is a key to success, and that kindness is the golden rule. You were always there for me when I needed you, anytime of day or night. I cherish every moment of my life with you. Every softball practice and game. You teaching me how to place that ball wherever I needed too. I had the best memories out on that field because of you. I will never forget you rocking me on the rocking chair, our phone calls if I would tell you to hang on, you’d say, what am I supposed to hang on too?! And who’s baby are you? I’d tell you, I’m Grandpa’s baby. I still remember the bench at the ice cream shop, our vanilla milkshakes, the beautiful flower pins every Easter, playing war with Chrissy on your bedroom floor when you babysat us, Sunday night cookouts with you. Memories, so many precious ones in my heart. I could go on forever. You taught me about Jesus and our faith. I loved seeing you usher at your church and being there with you. Always bringing you my stuff to fix, because you could literally fix anything. Our late night chats at your kitchen table every summer vacation. I miss those. My beautiful notes you wrote me. They got me through some tough times of loss. You were the best great grandpa too. SJ, Emmarie, and Briella will treasure you forever. They looked forward to every birthday just to hear your voice sing happy birthday to them. SJ loved to make you pictures and Emmarie wanted to draw pictures of you and her. Then they’d all three have to put the stickers on the envelopes for you. I don’t know how to live without you. I love you so so much. I miss you with all my heart Grandpa. I will always and forever be grandpa’s baby & your little princess. I love and miss you as many stars are in the sky. Your with Jesus now & I have you to watch over me. XOXOXO-Kait
